Private Flute Lessons

I have played the flute since the early 1970's

Parents, your support in your child's music education is vital to their progress & success. Their practice times are Important. Encouragement is necessary as they grow & mature in music.
Recommended practice schedule:
Beginner...............20 minutes daily.
Intermediate...........30 minutes daily.
Advanced...............40 minutes daily.
I will take you as far as I can.
Call for details.

If you notice any signs of discouragement in your child while they are practicing, give them a day off. A day of rest during the week. Please mention this to me at the next scheduled lesson. I will be watching for these signs too and will discuss this with you.

Music & Supplies

Fees & Payments
All monthly lessons are payable at the first lesson of each month.
1/2 hour lessons.......$12.00 per lesson.
4 lessons in a month will be $48.00 per month.
5 lessons in a month will be $60.00 per month.

Absences:
If you or your child are ill & you need to cancel your lesson, please call or email me at least 12 hours before your lesson so we can make other arrangements. You will be given my phone number once I have met you and/or your parents. Lessons that are skipped or forgotten by students or parents will be considered unexcused & will not be made up & the fee not refunded. Family emergencies, car trouble, school cancellations will be considered excused absences. If possible, I can set aside a time on Saturday to make up those lessons.

Performance Opportunities:
If possible, I will arrange 1 or 2 recitals each year. This will give you an opportunity to share with friends & family the achievements of each student.
If you are uncomfortable with public performances, we can discuss this privately. I can look for other opportunities for you to share your music with others if you wish.
